I am a 39 year old artist who uses the medium of photography. My site contains a selection of the art projects that I have worked on over the past two years and an example of a community project I recently took part in.

The personal projects are used as a vehicle for commentary on a variety of issues of the modern world. In particular they focus on what it means to me be a woman, how we are viewed, the pressure of choice and what we hold on to.

My work as an artist within the community focuses on taking part in collaborative projects that empower young people to find a voice through the use of the medium of photography. Picture Emotions was a project led by Artist Helen Cammock on which I volunteered as project assistant. It was launched in March 2008. All the photographs shown of this project are taken by the participants and remain the copyright of the Trust for the Study of Adolescence.

My work has been exhibited in the Brighton University Gallery and the Brighton Artist Open House as part of the long established ‘No Back Door’ exhibition. It will also be shown in the Brighton Photo Fringe in October 2008, a festival for Brighton based Artists which runs alongside the Brighton Photo Biennial.
